Rumors have been going around that I brew like a hobo (see Joel's blog). I just want to quell this rumor once and for all by confirming that I do indeed brew like a hobo. Here I am on the left cooking up a batch on the outdoor grill on a brisk fall afternoon. High falutin's do this kind of thing indoors with golden pots and silver spoons.
Hoity toities have fancy diamond-encrusted pumps to check the hydrometer readings of their brew. I use good old fashioned syphoning.
So yes, all signs point to HOBO.
Well, the tote gote is broken AGAIN. I fell off of it in the woods the other day- pretty exciting. That's not how it broke, though... something else more boring happened.
Shirt making has slowed down some since getting a job. I should have a couple new designs on my site pretty soon though. Here's one of them. It's very telling of my soul.

Joel, Tim and I have continued working on our brewery in the basement. You can read about it on Joel's blog (above) or get the condensed version from me. Basically, we're hooking up a bunch of pumps and fancy temperature controllers to do all the hard brewing work for us. We'll be able to start with all raw ingredients and basically hit some switches along the way. It'll be awesome. And yes, you are invited.
The Brewthers also started work on cleaning out the basement so we can set up our pool room. Non-stop fun.
Got another interview for a part-time tutoring job on Monday. I'll let you know how that goes.
Reading Cannery Row again by Steinbeck. Such a great book. I usually get to Starbucks a half-hour early every shift so I can sit and read while I drink a delicious, free beverage.
Well... until next time.

Hey Guys,
Do you know the song by (maybe by the Swirling Eddies) - HIDE THE BEER THE PASTOR'S HERE! A classic for sure.
Anna is working at our local Safeway Starbucks even as we speak. We will pick her up at the end of her shift. No free drinks. No tips at Safeway Starbucks...but the big perk is that it opens late and closes early. It's a grand thing for parents who drop off and pick up. Sometimes I do the rednecked thing and pick up wearing a coat over my nightgown. I'm durn proud. Okay, that's probably far more about us that you were wondering...Glad you all are doing well.
what page you on?
Canary Row = Awesome.
Good luck with the tutoring gig!
Oh, almost forgot, Kelly and I were talking and I think our next business name needs to be: H.A.R.P. LLC (Hobos Are Resourceful People). Feel free to claim that if the right venture presents itself ;)
I have decided the Brewthers should name a line of their beer "Chick Beer" and title each batch after Female Saints like Macrina.
I have also decided that your interview starts in an hour, and I still don't know where I'm going to take you to lunch.
